Noleggio

Terms & Conditions

Last updated October 2026. These Terms govern your use of the Noleggio app, the Noleggio Business dashboard and our other services.

1. Acceptance & Changes

By creating an account or using Noleggio you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy and any agreement shown to you for a specific feature (for example the Courier Agreement or the Rideshare Driver Agreement). If you don't agree, don't use the app. If we change these Terms in a material way, we'll notify you in the app or by email and ask you to accept the new version; continuing to use Noleggio after the effective date means you accept it. A change to the dispute-resolution rules in Section 29 applies only to disputes that start after the change.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. To rent a motor vehicle you must be at least 21 and hold a valid driver's license for that kind of vehicle; to deliver or drive riders you must be at least 21. One person, one account. You confirm that the information you give us (name, phone number, zip code, identity documents) is accurate, current and yours, and you'll keep it that way. We may refuse, limit or end access to anyone, at any time, where the law allows.

3. Accounts, Identity Verification, Biometrics & Background Checks

The first time you request to rent an item we require government ID or passport verification, a facial liveness check, and a linked payment method. This is saved to your profile and isn't repeated unless we have reason to re-verify you. You're responsible for your credentials and for everything done under your account.

Biometric consent. The facial liveness check compares a live image of your face with your ID photo to confirm you are who you say you are and to prevent fraud. It is run by our identity-verification provider on our behalf. By tapping to agree you give your written consent (including under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act and the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act) to that collection and use. We don't sell biometric data or use it for advertising. ID images, selfies and face data are deleted within 30 days of the check (or, if a check is under fraud review or the law requires, no later than one year), as described in the Privacy Policy. If you decline, you can't rent, deliver or drive.

Background checks. If you apply to deliver or drive riders, we'll show you a separate disclosure and ask for your written authorization before ordering a consumer report on you. If we decide not to approve you based on a report, we'll follow the notice and dispute process the law requires, including any state or local fair-chance rules.

4. What Noleggio Is — and Isn't

NOLEGGIO IS A TECHNOLOGY MARKETPLACE THAT CONNECTS PEOPLE. It is not the owner, seller, lessor, lessee, bailee, warehouse, rental-car company, motor carrier, courier, transportation provider, repair shop, employer, insurer or guarantor of anything listed, rented, delivered or offered through the app, and it is not a party to any rental, service, delivery or ride between users. Noleggio never takes possession, custody or control of listed items or vehicles. Hosts, renters, couriers, drivers and service providers are independent people and businesses who decide for themselves whether and how to take part. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, franchise or joint-venture relationship between Noleggio and any user. We don't inspect or verify the ownership, title, existence, condition, legality, safety or insurance of any item, vehicle or service, and we don't screen every user; any badge, check or review is only a signal and not a guarantee.

5. How Renting Works

Listing an item doesn't guarantee it will be rented, and requesting an item doesn't guarantee the host will accept. Sending a request doesn't charge you; you're charged only after the host accepts and payment goes through. Prices, deposits, taxes and service fees shown at checkout are estimates and may be adjusted before you pay. A booking is a direct agreement between host and renter; Noleggio only provides the tools to make it. Payments, deposits and payouts are handled by third-party payment processors, and their terms also apply.

6. Rules for Hosts and Listings

If you list something, you promise that: you own it or have the legal right to rent it out; it is not stolen, counterfeit, recalled, unsafe, or subject to a lien or finance agreement that prohibits renting; your description, photos, price and availability are accurate; and you hold every license, permit, registration, inspection and insurance the law requires for what you offer, and you pay the taxes on what you earn. Prohibited items include firearms and weapons, controlled substances, stolen or counterfeit goods, hazardous materials, and anything illegal to rent or deliver where it will be used. We may remove any listing or account at any time, and we may share information about listings or users with law enforcement when we believe it's needed or the law requires it.

7. Lost, Stolen or Damaged Items — Who Bears the Risk

RENTING, LENDING, DELIVERING, MEETING STRANGERS AND HANDING OVER PROPERTY CARRY REAL RISK, INCLUDING THEFT, FRAUD, LOSS, DAMAGE, INJURY AND DEATH. YOU TAKE THAT RISK. As between you and Noleggio, the host bears the risk of loss, theft, or damage to a listed item and the renter bears the risk of loss, theft or damage to an item while it is in the renter's possession, as set out in the rental agreement, the hold described in Section 16 and the law. Noleggio is not responsible for any item that is lost, stolen, damaged, misdescribed, not returned or not delivered, for any person who steals or defrauds, or for recovering property or money. Tools we offer — photos, signed agreements, holds on cards, reports prepared for law enforcement — are there to help you and the authorities; they don't guarantee any outcome or any payment. Insure what you list and what you rent. If something is stolen, call the police first and then report it in the app; we'll cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.

8. Cancellations, Refunds & Damage

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before pick-up are fully refunded; later cancellations may forfeit some or all of the payment at the host's discretion. Refundable deposits are released once the host confirms the item came back in the condition it left. Renters are responsible for loss or damage to a rented item during the rental period beyond normal wear and tear, up to the replacement value in the rental agreement and as the law allows.

9. Location, Zip Code & Tracking

To help both sides coordinate safely, the zip code on file for both renter and host is visible to the other party in a transaction, and both parties share live location during an active rental, delivery, service or ride. Use that information only to complete the transaction. Where a listed vehicle has a tracking device or telematics, the host will tell the renter before the rental; the host may use it only during the rental, to protect the vehicle and for safety.

10. Messaging & Prohibited Conduct

In-app messaging is monitored by automated moderation designed to catch attempts to move a transaction off-platform — sharing phone numbers, social handles or arranging payment outside the app. Off-platform deals are not covered by any Noleggio tool and put you at risk of fraud. Flagged messages are blocked and the conversation may be locked pending review. Prohibited conduct also includes harassment, discrimination, listing prohibited or unsafe items, using another person's identity or payment method, and any attempt to defraud or endanger another user.

11. Reviews, Ratings & Reporting

After a completed transaction both sides may rate and review each other. Reviews must be honest and based on a real transaction. Anyone can report a listing or a user from the product page. A profile that gets three (3) or more reports is automatically suspended pending review; the user may appeal and our trust & safety team makes the final call. Accounts in serious or repeated violation may be suspended permanently.

12. Renting Vehicles

This section applies to cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, trailers and any other vehicle rented through Noleggio, in addition to the rest of these Terms. The host is the owner and the only lessor; Noleggio is not in the business of renting or leasing vehicles.

Host promises: the vehicle is registered and titled, in safe working order, passes any required inspection, has no open safety recalls that make it unsafe, and is insured as the law requires. You must tell your insurer and your lender or lessor that you share the vehicle where they require it. Personal auto policies often exclude peer-to-peer rental.

Renter promises: a valid driver's license; no driving while impaired or distracted; no racing, off-roading, towing, subletting, or use for hire (including ride-hailing or delivery) without the host's written permission and the right insurance; no leaving the state or country without the host's agreement; and returning the vehicle on time, with the fuel/charge and cleanliness agreed.

Insurance. Noleggio does not provide insurance unless a protection plan is clearly shown at checkout, and then that plan's written terms, limits, deductibles and exclusions control. Where the law of a state requires a car-sharing platform or program to supply or verify coverage, vehicle rentals are offered only through the coverage described at checkout, and Noleggio may limit vehicle rentals to places where it can lawfully offer them.

Accidents. Stop, make everyone safe, call 911 if anyone is hurt, exchange information, photograph the scene, and report it in the app within 24 hours and to the police and insurers as required. The renter is responsible, up to the rental agreement and the law, for damage, loss, theft, towing, impound, tolls, fines, tickets, cleaning and other charges incurred during the rental, plus a reasonable administrative fee where the law allows. We may pass the renter's and host's information to authorities or issuers of tickets and tolls.

13. Pickup & Delivery

Hosts may offer pickup, delivery or both. A pickup address is shared only after payment goes through. Delivery is priced at a base fee plus a rate per driving mile — never less than $5 + $1.25 per mile — and the full delivery fee goes to whoever delivers. Where the law requires or the app offers a chance to tip, tips go entirely to the courier. A delivery may be made by the host or offered to independent couriers through Noleggio Delivery (Section 17), and an independent courier is never paid less than the courier's minimum pay. Whoever delivers shares their live location with the renter and the host until the delivery is complete. Items are handed over in person and confirmed by tapping both phones together (Noleggio Tap), with a code or photo as a backup. If the renter chooses to have an item left at a location, they waive disputes and negative reviews for that delivery. On arrival the receiver has 15 minutes to meet the courier. If nobody meets them the item goes back to where it was picked up, the receiver is charged a $7 missed-delivery fee and receives a strike; three strikes within 90 days pause the receiver's access to deliveries. A courier who cancels more than 3 minutes after accepting may receive a negative point, and repeated negative points or low ratings may lead to a temporary suspension.

14. Personal Services

The customer requests a service and the provider accepts it. Providers are independent businesses; they decide whether to accept a job and are responsible for their own tools, licenses, permits, insurance, taxes and work, including any license the law requires for the trade. Noleggio doesn't supervise, direct or guarantee their work. From the moment the provider heads over until the service is complete both parties share live location. The service can begin only once the provider is within half a mile of the address, and both parties are notified when it starts. Hourly services have a first-hour rate and an additional-hour rate; the difference is the travel cost. If the customer cancels after the provider has headed over, the customer pays the travel cost plus the time worked at the additional-hour rate, and the rest is released. Payment for a completed service is released to the provider 90 minutes after completion, and both parties must review each other.

15. Condition Photos & Videos

For every rental and service, both parties may take up to 20 photos and one video (up to 2 minutes) through the app's camera at hand-off and at return (or before and after a service), once within 200 feet of each other. Both parties approve these records before an item is released, and they may be used to resolve disputes about damage or false statements. By capturing them you confirm they show what they appear to show.

16. Rental Agreements, Replacement Value & Non-Return

Renting a physical item requires a credit card (debit and prepaid cards aren't accepted) and an electronically signed rental agreement that states the item's replacement value and return time. At pickup, a hold for the replacement value may be placed on the renter's card; a hold is not a charge. Card holds expire after a few days (up to about 30 where the card network allows), so by renting you also authorize Noleggio, on the owner's behalf, to charge the card you paid with, which our payment processor Stripe keeps on file, for amounts you owe under the rental agreement (damage, late fees, or an item that isn't returned, up to the replacement value) if a hold has expired or isn't enough. You'll get a receipt, and you can dispute a charge through the Help Center. Both parties take the required photos in the app at pickup (the item, its serial number, and the renter with the item) and at return; each photo is stamped with the time and GPS location. Late returns may be charged a late fee per hour from the hold, and two hours late the renter's account may be locked until the item is returned and the owner is notified. If an item is not returned, the owner may report it stolen. In that case, to the extent allowed by law and the card agreement, the hold may be captured up to the replacement value and paid to the owner, the renter's account may be permanently removed, and Noleggio may give law enforcement the renter's verified identity, the pickup location, the photos, the signed agreement and the in-app messages. Noleggio does not itself pay for, insure, or guarantee recovery of any item. The owner is paid 24 hours after both parties confirm the return, and the hold is released at the same time.

17. Noleggio Delivery — Independent Couriers

Noleggio Delivery lets people deliver items for other users as independent couriers. Couriers are independent contractors, not employees, agents or partners of Noleggio. Noleggio provides technology that connects couriers with deliveries and does not set their hours, require them to accept any delivery, or direct how or by what route they deliver; couriers are free to work for others, including competitors. To deliver, a courier must be at least 21, verify identity with a government ID and a live selfie holding that ID, pass the background check described in Section 3, and sign the Courier Agreement, which they accept again before every delivery. Couriers choose how to travel — on foot, bicycle, e-bike, scooter, motorcycle or car — and are solely responsible for it: they deliver at their own risk, obey all traffic laws, use proper safety equipment, and hold any license, registration and insurance the law requires, including any local permit for delivering by vehicle. Noleggio does not insure couriers, their vehicles or the items they carry, and a courier's personal insurance may not cover delivery work. Couriers decide whether to be online and which deliveries to take. The standard minimum pay is $8 for the first 3 miles plus $1.25 per additional mile; couriers may set a higher rate, and where a local law sets a higher minimum or a pay-transparency rule, Noleggio follows it. Every pickup, hand-off and return is confirmed by both phones. A delivery that can't be handed over must be returned to where it was picked up. A courier who keeps an order or fails to return it, to the extent the law allows, may be charged up to the order's replacement value, may be suspended or permanently removed, and may be reported to law enforcement.

18. Rideshare

Where rideshare is available, Noleggio provides technology that connects riders with independent drivers. Noleggio is not a transportation carrier, taxi, limousine or livery company and does not itself provide transportation. Drivers are independent contractors who drive their own vehicles, set their own availability, may accept or decline any ride, and are free to work for others. Drivers must be at least 21, hold a valid driver's license and registration, pass the background and driving-record checks described in Section 3, sign the Rideshare Driver Agreement, and carry the insurance and hold the permits and licenses that the law of the state and city where they drive requires of a driver using an app (for example, a for-hire license in places such as New York City). The coverage that applies to a ride depends on the state and on whether the driver is waiting for a request, heading to a rider or carrying a rider; where state law requires a particular amount, Noleggio or the driver will keep it. Riders ride at their own risk and agree to wear a seat belt, behave respectfully, and not bring unlawful items. Anyone can use SOS in the app, but in an emergency call 911 first. Rideshare opens area by area, only where Noleggio can lawfully offer it, and no ride is guaranteed. Noleggio does not guarantee the safety, conduct or driving of any driver or rider.

19. Emergencies & SOS

Noleggio is not an emergency service. If anyone is hurt or in danger, call 911 first. During a delivery, ride or service, and from the app icon, the Help Center or search, you can raise an SOS: it opens an urgent case with Noleggio's safety team and shares who you are, the activity, the other person and your location at that moment, and keeps your location visible to the safety team until you say you're safe. Roadside SOS helps you find nearby roadside helpers listed on Noleggio; they are independent providers whose services are governed by Section 14 and their listings. Misusing SOS may lead to suspension.

20. Payments, Fees & Taxes

Noleggio may charge service fees and other fees, which are shown before you confirm. Users are responsible for their own taxes. Noleggio may collect and remit taxes where the law requires, and may send tax forms and report earnings and user information to tax authorities as the law requires. Payment processors may hold, delay or reverse payments to comply with law, to prevent fraud or to resolve chargebacks and disputes. If a payment is reversed after a payout, you agree to repay the amount.

21. Your Content

You keep ownership of the photos, videos, listings and reviews you post (“Content”). You give Noleggio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce and promote your Content in connection with the app. You promise you have the rights to post it and that it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights. Send copyright complaints to support@noleggio.app and we'll respond as the law requires, including ending the accounts of repeat infringers.

22. Third-Party Services

Noleggio uses third-party services to operate, including Sign in with Apple, SMS verification, identity and background checks, payment processing and payouts, video hosting, and maps and navigation. Your use of them is also subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

23. Disclaimers

THE APP, LISTINGS, USER CONTENT AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS. NOLEGGIO DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT ANY USER, ITEM, VEHICLE OR SERVICE IS WHAT IT APPEARS TO BE, OR THAT ANY TRANSACTION WILL BE SAFE. WE WORK TO REDUCE RISK, BUT NO SYSTEM CAN PREVENT ALL SCAMS, THEFT, DAMAGE, INJURY OR MISCONDUCT, AND YOU USE NOLEGGIO AND DEAL WITH OTHER USERS AT YOUR OWN RISK. NOLEGGIO IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF ANY USER, INCLUDING THEFT, FRAUD, ASSAULT, NEGLIGENCE OR UNSAFE DRIVING.

24. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, NOLEGGIO AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND PARTNERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM THE APP OR ANY TRANSACTION BETWEEN USERS. NOLEGGIO'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP OR A TRANSACTION IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID TO NOLEGGIO IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND (B) $100. These limits don't apply to liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for death or personal injury in places where the law forbids excluding it. To the extent allowed by law, any claim against Noleggio must be started within one (1) year after it arises.

25. Release of Claims Against Noleggio

Because Noleggio is not a party to your transactions, you release Noleggio and its owners, officers, employees and partners from claims, demands and damages of every kind, known or unknown, arising from disputes or incidents between you and another user, or from items, vehicles, services, deliveries or rides arranged through the app, to the fullest extent the law allows. If you are a California resident you waive California Civil Code § 1542, which says: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.” This release does not cover claims the law does not allow you to release.

26. Indemnification

To the fullest extent the law allows, you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Noleggio and its owners, officers, employees and partners from claims, losses, damages, fines and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the app, your Content, your listings, vehicles or services, your breach of these Terms or the law, or your dealings with another user, including claims that an item you listed was stolen, unsafe or not yours to rent.

27. Insurance

Unless a protection plan is clearly shown at checkout, Noleggio does not provide insurance of any kind. You are responsible for the coverage the law requires and the coverage you need for your property, vehicle, delivery or driving work. Personal policies often exclude rentals, deliveries and rideshare; check with your insurer.

28. No Bypassing the Platform

Requests, communication about a job and payment for it must go through Noleggio. If a request is cancelled and the same renter and provider proceed with the same or a substantially similar job outside the app, both accounts may receive a strike. Strikes lead to escalating suspensions, and repeated violations may result in permanent removal. A business account that repeatedly bypasses Noleggio to solicit or keep clients met through the platform agrees to pay Noleggio the service fees it would have earned and its reasonable costs of enforcing these Terms, to the extent allowed by law.

29. Dispute Resolution — Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS.

Talk to us first. Contact the Help Center and give us 60 days to try to resolve a dispute before starting a formal case.

Binding individual arbitration. If we can't, you and Noleggio agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app only by final, binding arbitration on an individual basis, under the Federal Arbitration Act, run by the American Arbitration Association (consumer rules) or JAMS (consumer minimum standards). You give up the right to a jury trial and to go to court, except as below. The arbitrator decides all questions about whether this Section applies, but a court decides the validity of the class waiver. Noleggio pays the filing, administrative and arbitrator fees above what you would pay to file in court. The hearing may be held by video or phone, or in the county where you live. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could.

No class actions. You may bring claims only for yourself, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a claim, that claim goes to court and is stayed until any individual claims are arbitrated.

Multiple similar claims. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed against Noleggio by the same lawyers or group within 90 days, they are handled in batches with a bellwether process, with notice to and the chance to be heard for all claimants and the filing fees paid by Noleggio, so every case is resolved fairly and efficiently.

You can opt out. You can opt out of arbitration and the class waiver by emailing support@noleggio.app with the subject “Arbitration Opt-Out,” your name and the email on your account, within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out does not affect any other part of the Terms.

Exceptions. Either side may bring an individual case in small-claims court. This Section does not apply to a sexual assault or sexual harassment dispute that you choose to bring in court, to claims that the law does not allow to be arbitrated, to requests for public injunctive relief that the law of your state says cannot be waived (those are decided in court after any individual claims), or to claims about copyright and other intellectual property. If any part of this Section is invalid, the rest stays in effect.

30. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Noleggio is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and by the Federal Arbitration Act. For any claim that goes to court, you and Noleggio submit to the courts of that jurisdiction and of the county where you live, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.

31. Electronic Signatures & Communications

You agree that your taps, checkboxes and signatures in the app are legally binding electronic signatures under the federal E-SIGN Act and state electronic-transactions laws, and that we may send you notices, agreements and records electronically. By giving us your mobile number you agree that Noleggio may text you about your account, security and transactions. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out of non-essential texts. Consent to marketing texts isn't required to use the app.

32. Account Deletion & Termination

You can request to delete your account at any time from App Settings. Deleting deactivates it immediately and starts a 30-day recovery window during which you can log back in and reverse it. After 30 days your account and associated data are permanently deleted, except where we must retain records by law (for example transaction records for tax or fraud-prevention purposes) or to resolve open disputes. We may suspend or end your access at any time for violations of these Terms, safety, fraud or legal reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do.

33. State & Local Notices

Noleggio is not available for every feature in every state or city. We may turn features off, including vehicle rentals, rideshare or delivery, wherever the law requires a license, insurance program or other approval we don't yet have. Some laws give you rights that these Terms can't remove; where that is so, the provision applies only to the extent the law allows and the rest stays in effect.

California: under Civil Code § 1789.3, California users may report complaints to the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the Department of Consumer Affairs by mail at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210. Couriers and drivers working in California are governed by the California-specific terms shown in their agreement.

New York City and other cities that regulate app-based delivery or for-hire vehicles: pay, tipping and licensing rules of those places apply and we follow them.

Illinois and Texas: see the biometric consent in Section 3.

34. General

These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any feature agreement are the entire agreement between you and Noleggio about the app. If part of them is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a right isn't a waiver. You may not transfer your account; we may transfer these Terms to a successor. We aren't liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

35. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent through the Help Center in App Settings or to support@noleggio.app.
